Infranode proud partner as Alight signs power purchase agreement with H&M Group

Nordic infrastructure investor Infranode is proud to announce that solar partner Alight has signed power purchase agreements with H&M Group to build three new solar parks. In partnership with Alight, Infranode is the main financier of the largest park in the project.

Infranode and Alight started a collaboration in 2017. Since then, we have built a joint portfolio of four solar parks, almost 50 rooftop solar and several other renewable energy related facilities. Alight has now signed power purchase agreements with H&M Group, where the 13 MW solar park in Blekinge will be the largest energy producer in a collection of three projects. The Blekinge park is funded together with Infranode, while the other two are funded solely by Alight.

“Alight has done a great job of changing the game for solar power in Europe. We are happy to have supported them in starting construction of a fourth solar park that now will provide H&M Group with clean energy. We are proud investors in solar power as part of our decarbonization agenda and for Nordic society”, says Johan Tiselius, Head of Sustainability at Infranode.

“Our business model is to sell the clean energy to businesses at a fixed cost backed by a power purchase agreement. The long-term investment we have made together with Infranode is an enabler in the agreement we have now signed with H&M Group”, says Harald Överholm, CEO and co-founder of Alight. Once completed, the solar park in Blekinge will have a capacity of 14 GWh/year and construction started during the fall of 2023.
